About me

Hi there, and welcome to my blog! My name is Kelly Nesbitt and I have two wonderful children Kyle, who is 8 years old and Julia, who is 10 years old and they are my entire world.

First, I will introduce myself a little further. I am a single mum and at the moment I work part time as a teaching assistant in a wonderful primary school in Bath, England. I absolutely love working there. The children are fantastic and being able to nurture them and help them to learn and develop is so incredibly rewarding. Making kids happy is what I live for! Bath is also such a beautiful city… full of stunning architecture and lovely people. I really adore living there.

When I was a little girl I always wanted to be a mum. It was my dream. Naturally I really enjoy taking care of and helping others and so it seemed like the natural route for me. When I was little I was always playing with dolls and carrying them around with me places to look after them, I still have the very same doll I used to take around with me. I named her Maisie. To this very day, my daughter, Julia, takes care of her. Maisie was a doll that my mum made for me so it holds a very special place in my heart. I used to do a lot of creative activities with my mum, and this leads me onto telling you more about what this blog is about.

I wanted somewhere to be able to share creative activities and fun things to do with or for your kids. The internet is such a big place. I want to create a lovely community of parents, all wanting to enrich their child’s lives as much as possible – sharing tips and ideas for different activities, games, puzzles… anything that they feel makes their kids lives that bit more fun-filled! My youngest, Kyle, was diagnosed with autism at a young age. This can mean that it can be quite tricky to keep him happy and engaging with things. This is also partly why I wanted to create this blog – it can be difficult to find activities that he finds enjoyable and engaging, so I wanted to share my experiences with other parents who are perhaps in a similar position.

My dream now is to build a blog where people from all around the world can talk about their experiences and share their wisdom. There is no better way to find out things than first hand, ‘straight from the horse’s mouth,’ right? You might find something you didn’t know before. I really can’t wait to see what kind of tips you all have for me and how useful my blog is to you. Please enjoy looking around and learning. I really, really hope that you find a use in my posts and please don’t hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions or comments – you can do so on the contact page! The internet is so exciting! Thank you.

– Kelly
